Kicking Bear is a nation wide mentoring program that enriches the lives of disadvantaged youth by introducing them to the great outdoors. Kicking Bear One-on-One events are dedicated to getting all youth off the streets, especially those at-risk and under-privileged. The events help give young people purpose and direction in life by introducing them to the great outdoors and to the sport of archery. Kicking Bear positively impacts troubled and at risk kids while bringing awareness to the general public of the growing number of troubled and at risk kids and their needs.

By introducing youth to quality mentors, they gain positive relationships and a person to whom they can look up to. Many of the youth that have been helped by Kicking Bear in the past would have never had the opportunity to experience the outdoors and the sport of archery had it not been for their mentors. By encouraging others to reach outside their homes and become mentors, we can help break the cycle and put dreams in these kids’ hearts that will change not only their lives, but their families’ lives to come.
